OUR STORY

East Coast Canadian Head Chef Gabrielle LeGuerrier and husband Hungarian Sommelier Gabor Bodo are the owners and creators of GourmetGab Events by Pertu. An entirely Pandemic-born business, they celebrated their third year running this past August 2023.

After both trained for over a decade in the hospitality hot-spot that is London, England, they decided to take all of that 5-star expertise back home to Canada. Currently based out of Halifax, Nova Scotia they create one-of-a-kind dining experiences across the province as well as Canada-wide.

CHEF GABRIELLE LEGUERRIER

Has cooked for many celebrities, world leaders and most notably, her last job - before the creation of GourmetGab Events - was as Sous Chef to the Royal Family and one of the last to work for Her Late Majesty The Queen of England.

SOMMELIER GABOR BODO

Having grown up less than 50 kilometers from world-class fortified wine region of Tokaj, Hungary, Somm. Gabor was born for the job! He enriched his knowledge by receiving his Sommelier training at:

* World-renowned WSET school in London, UK

*Travelled to multiple old-world wine destinations to understand their craft

* Worked in some of the most luxurious cocktail bars, hotels and wine shops London has to offer including:

* The five-star Connaught Hotel training under world-class Sommeliers

*Luxury wine shop in Harvey Nichols where they specialized in Hard-to find Spirits and Rare Wine

* New Street Wine Shop where he was assistant manager directly under Chaine de Rotisseurs Young Sommelier of the Year 2014
